Rod Pampling jumped out to a hot start on Thursday and didn’t look back, taking his lead wire-to-wire to win the 2016 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The 47 year old Australian native shot an astounding -11 round of 60 in his first 18 holes and finished with a solid 65 on Sunday at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
Pampling held of Brooks Koepka to grab the $1.18M winner’s share of the purse and 500 FedEx Cup points. He was able to birdie 24 holes and added 2 eagles on his way to a 72 hole total of -20.
