2016 College Football Rankings – Week 12

After a huge day of upsets in college football, we get a look at a brand new AP Top 25 Poll. #1 Alabama rolled in an SEC matchup vs. Miss St., but Saturday featured 5 losses from top 10 teams, with the # 2,3, 4, 8, and 10 teams all going down:

#2 Michigan lost on a last minute field goal to Iowa. 14-13 Hawkeyes

#3 Clemson was outlasted by Pittsburgh after questionable playcalling by coach Dabo Swinney, who elected to go for it on 4th down late in the 4th quarter instead of a punt-and-pin situation. Clemson was stopped on 4th down and Pitt drove to kick a game winning field goal with 0:06 left. 43-42 Pitt

#4 Washington lost in a huge Pac-12 matchup vs an unranked USC team on their home field. USC jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back, dominating both sides of the ball. 26-13 Trojans

#8 Auburn lost to Georgia Between the Hedges. 13-7 Bulldogs

#10 Texas A&M had the lead most of the game, but let Ole Miss back in late in the 4th quarter. The Rebels scores 10 unanswered in the last 6 minutes, taking the lead on a 39 yard field goal from Gary Wunderlich with 0:37 left. 29-28 Ole Miss

Ohio State and Louisville move into the #2 and #3 positions and will likely be in the Top 4 when Tuesday’s College Football Playoff Rankings come out. Here’s a look at the rest of the rankings:
